Going back to the basics. We Internet
We love the Internet. It is magical, but we feel it is heading towards a direction we don’t like. Try to Google some topics, and you’ll feel bombarded with posts seeking your attention but offering very little substance. We are going back to square one, where we loved it. What does that mean?
No social media
None. It is fun to follow someone you like to receive regular updates, but social media is currently a very noisy place where everyone tries to capture your attention at any cost. The signal-to-noise ratio in there is unhealthy. We don’t belong there anymore.
Direct contact
We love chatting with our customers, and we will have more time to do so after leaving social media. We maintain a direct line with our support center and also email. Why deal with a middleman when you can talk directly with us? Head over to our contact section and try it!
Zero tracking cookies 🍪
If you visit our site you won’t be bothered with a giant popup informing you again that the site uses cookies. That is because we no longer use third party cookies. No tracking cookie will be installed on your computer and follow you whenever you visit our website. It may seem trivial, but it is part of going back to being free on the net, and you aren’t disturbed by the popup!
Our place is safe, but it is not the norm for now. However, you can experience the same result by browsing any website thanks to the many privacy focused browsers that are emerging, such as Brave, which will block off all the surveillance technology in a very smart way. Just try it; it is highly recommended.
But there is more…
We’ll cover other deep changes we are making internally as we work our way back to the very fundamentals in later posts. COVID has hit the electronics sector massively, and we’ve had to re-adapt and remove all the fat to welcome the new circumstances in order to keep our commitment to our somewhat tacit policy of permanent stock and maintain Monorean’s quality. Changing is painful, but it is helping us develop great strengths and we are honestly enjoying the process.
