Monorean Pro connected to iPhone and pressing the Play button
Installing the MP3 Pushbuttons is optional.
Basic use of the MP3 Pushbuttons
The hidden earpiece with the MP3 pushbuttons will allow you, with a press of the button, to:
- Skip to the next track (
).
- Skip to the previous track (
).
- Play / Pause function (
).
Monorean includes three pushbuttons being all undistinguishable from one another . The function a particular pushbutton does will just depend on what connector from the control box you connect it to.
Just press one button to trigger the desired action. Remember the function play/pause will trigger the play action when the recording is paused. While the record is being played, a press from the play/pause pushbutton will pause the audio, being able to resume the record by pressing it again.
Monorean Pro does not include an MP3 player. The MP3 pushbuttons control the recordings stored in your cell phone or MP3 player.
Advanced use of the MP3 Pushbuttons
Holding down the pushbutton, the MP3 Pushbuttons allow you to:
- Fast forward if you keep the “next track” pushbuttons pressed (
).
- Rewind if you keep the “previous track” pushbuttons pressed (
).
Maintain the MP3 pushbutton pressed to continue rewinding. At the moment the desired minute of the track is reached, release the MP3 pushbutton and the track will continue playing at normal speed.
The play/pause pushbutton ( ) does not have advanced function.
Tips
Where to hide the MP3 Pushbuttons
The most convenient place to hide the MP3 Pushbuttons is under the big toe of feet. You can place, for example, the “next track” pushbutton under the right toe and the “play” button under the left toe. There is a very common question about where to place the third pushbutton. You can place it in your:
- Elbow: You can press the button pressing against the desk.
- Forearm: You can use the hand from the other arm to press the pushbutton.
- Heel: You can get both heels together to press the button
- Knee: You can lift the knee and press the button against the desk (unless the desk is very high) or maybe against the table leg.
Place the pushbutton that you’d use more frequently where you find it easier and more convenient to be pressed.
If you intend to press the MP3 pushbuttons with your hands we recommend to place the pushbuttons on your body always above the table or desk where you’ll be taking the exam. This way you won’t raise suspicions when pressing the buttons whereas trying to reach the buttons that are below the table will be very suspicious.
Keep your hands always visible during the exam.
We recommend using se cloth or plastic surgical tape to secure the MP3 buttons. It’s advisable to also place several pieces of tape along the cable every 10 centimeters (4 inch).
Will I press the MP3 Pushbutton accidentally on my way to the exam?
If you place the MP3 Pushbuttons under your toes as we recommend, you should consider it’s possible that you press it accidentally some times on your way to the exam. In order to avoid this you can just switch off the Monorean Pro control box and turn it back on when you are ready and seated at the exam. The Monorean Pro control box features a physical button easy to switch without looking at it. If you previously linked your cell phone with the Monorean Pro control box, it will pair automatically with your phone once you turn back of the Monorean Pro control box. After that you’d only need to press and hold The MP3 Pushbuttons to start navigating among your audio recordings.
