Monorean Pro Guide
The advanced version of the Monorean earpieces.
The control box
The sophisticated Switchboard ensures that every little detail heard through the invisible earpiece will be perfect the day of your test and guarantee your success.
Bluetooth
The control unit is Bluetooth® 5.0 certified, which enables its connection to a mobile phone, an MP3 player, a Walkie-Talkie, or any Bluetooth device. The distance between your Bluetooth device and the control unit may be up to 4 meters.
NOTE: During the pairing, if a password is requested, it’d be 0000
For safety, the control unit always reserves a percentage of battery power that is exclusively dedicated to the Bluetooth link so that when the device runs out of battery, it keeps the connection, avoiding the unexpected shift to “speaker” mode, which occurs in many mobile phones when the Bluetooth connection is lost.
IMPORTANT: Once the control unit is paired with your mobile phone via Bluetooth, no other phone will be able to find the control unit on its list of Bluetooth devices within range.
Power supply and battery
The electronic device or control unit gets its energy from an internal lithium polymer rechargeable battery. You will be able to charge the Monorean Pro control unit with the use of the UBS cable provided. Remember you can connect the USB cable to either a USB port in your computer or to a USB wall charger connected to a wall socket.
The battery indicator ( ) will be red indicating: charging. It’ll be fully charged once the indicator turns green.
The battery will last for 6 hours in a continuous conversation.
Battery details
Monorean Pro will manage the battery power in a smart way. It will drain the most energy when you are hearing from the Monorean earpiece therefore the battery life will be very dependant on your partner’s silent periods while he’s at the other end of the line. Likewise, if you use Monorean Pro in MP3 mode, the moment you stop the audio by pressing the MP3 pushbutton, the energy drain will drop significantly.
You can find in the following table a battery life estimation based on the type of use:
Type of use of the Monorean Pro | Battery life |
---|---|
Your partner never stops talking, at maximum volume | 6 hours |
Your partner never stops talking, at saturated volume (*) | 5 hours |
On a call, not you nor your partner talk | 19 hours |
On a call, you talk but your partner stays quiet | 20 hours |
On a call, your partner talks 50% of the time (50% silent) | 15 hours |
Waiting for a call or stand by | 19 hours |
* Sometimes depending on the audio type, when setting the volume to the maximum you may experience a slightly blurry or fuzzy sound that we’ll call saturated sound. Maximum volume therefore is considered to be the sound at the volume right before experiencing this light fuzziness. If you experience a saturated sound it’s recommended to lower the volume until the sound is crystal clear. Remember that going from the saturated sound to the maximum sound will not have any effects on the perceived sound volume but will affect the battery life.
There is no difference in the volume perceived between the saturated sound and maximum sound but it will affect the battery consumption.
Other battery technical details

Battery type | Lithium-polymer |
Battery capacity | 1800 mAH |

How to reset the control box
If the Monorean Pro presents any anomalous behavior, restarting the control box might help.
