Troubleshooting

This section provides solutions for common error codes displayed on the Monorean Cam screen.

Error codes

NETWORK ERROR

Monorean Cam can’t connect to the nearest antenna or there is a problem with your SIM card or carrier contract. Monorean Cam will try multiple attempts to connect to the network, you will be able to read FINDING NETWORK while your CAM tries to establish a connection.

If after a few attempts you continue to see NETWORK ERROR, this could be due to:

  • Carrier contract problem: Check with your carrier to confirm your contract is active. Some carriers maintain a whitelist of IMEI codes, make sure the IMEI number from your Monorean CAM device is whitelisted or isn’t actively being blocked by your carrier. Find how to get the IMEI number here. s
  • Network coverage: You might be in an area with weak signal. Try moving to a different location.
NETWORK LOST

This means Monorean Cam was previously connected to the network but has lost the connection. This typically occurs when moving to an area with weak signal coverage. Monorean Cam will continuously attempt to reconnect, you will be able to read on the screen RECONNECTING NET. If the message remains after a reasonable time, contact our support team.

CONNECTION FAIL

Monorean Cam has successfully connected to the mobile network and your carrier contract seems to be fine.

  • Configuration error: If you encounter this error while configuring your Monorean Cam from Monorean Inbox, you will immediately be able to read WRONG SETUP. Please refer to I see WRONG SETUP section in the Monorean Inbox network set-up guide.

  • Connection loss: If this error occurs after successfully configuring Monorean Cam, it indicates a connection loss with Monorean Inbox. Monorean Cam will automatically attempt to re-establish the connection. The REACCESSING NET message will be displayed on the screen.

SIM ERROR

Monorean Cam can’t read your SIM card correctly. Make sure the SIM card is properly inserted and doesn’t have any damage.

PICTURE ERROR

There is a problem obtaining the image from the Cable CAM. Ensure the Cable CAM is properly inserted into the control box. Firmly press the connector and make sure it is fully seated.

SENDING ERROR

The image was correctly obtained from the Cable CAM but can’t reach Monorean Inbox, please contact our support team.
